The scope of each project is custom developed for each client. However, general guidelines can assist in setting expectations:
Business Analysis (Competitive Assessment or Market Survey)
Most analysis projects require 1 to 3 weeks. While some projects can be completed virtually, most will require a 1 to 3 day site visit. Afterward, most analysis and research can be completed offline. An additional 2 to 3 in-person or phone meetings can be expected during the remainder of the project.
Modeling projects can vary between 1 and 8 weeks depending on complexity. Merger and LBO modeling can be completed relatively quickly if detailed pro forma projections already exist. Otherwise, we assist you in building projections in preparation for a merger or LBO analysis.
Timeline for sale of a company or divesting a division is usually 5 to 9 months from kickoff to closing. Phases include company research, offering memorandum preparation, potential buyer screen, limited auction, bid comparison and waterfall analysis, management meetings, legal preparation (not handled by Emerge Dynamics), and closing.
Services such as acquisition strategy, target identification, business process improvement, customer experience refinement, interim management, or turnaround advising can be ongoing in nature or can be of a set duration with predefined metrics for project success.
Coaching and Implementation
All projects include either coaching or active implementation both during and after the specific task to ensure that any recommendations or solutions are implemented and don't remain on paper.
